Fall Seminar with Kashiwaya Sensei

Houston Ki Aikido is pleased to host Koichi Kashiwaya sensei, (8th dan, Shin Shin Toitsu Do Aikido), Chief Instructor of the Midland Ki Federation, on Saturday October 3 and Sunday October 4 2009. Kashiwaya sensei is the highest ranking Ki Aikido professional in North America and has been teaching Aikido and Ki Development for over 35 years.

Saturday, October 3 is a a full day weapons seminar. Kashiwaya sensei will teach aikiken and aikijo in a manner uniquely his, demonstrating the connections between weapons technique and aikido.

On Sunday, October 4, 2009, a half day will be devoted to instruction in meditation, ki breathing and misogi. This is a free session open to the community (no Aikido or martial arts experience required).

Register for our Fall Introductory Program

Enrollment is now open for our Fall Introductory Course for Adults and Teenagers, beginning on Monday, August 31. This six week program is designed to give new students an introduction to Ki Aikido by sampling many of the elements of our practice in a condensed timeframe. The curriculum will touch on a variety of topics, including Aikido technique, ki testing, and weapons practice.

Classes will be held every Monday and Thursday evening from 8-9 PM, beginning Monday, Augst 31st and ending on Thursday, October 8th. You can find more information and register your interest online by filling out this form. Enrollment is limited, so please register early.

 

 

Register for our 2009-2010 Aikido for Kids Program

Enrollment is now open for our 2009-2010 Aikido for Kids Program, beginning on Saturday, September 12 and running through early June 2010. Classes are held every Saturday morning from 8:30 - 9:30 AM. More information on the Aikido for Kids program can be found here. You can register online by filling out this form. Enrollment is limited to 20 students, so please register early.

Midland Ki Federation's Ki-Aikido Summer Seminar 2009

Midland Ki Federation is pleased to announce their Ki-Aikido Summer Seminar 2009 with Koichi Kashiwaya Sensei, 8th Dan, Chief Instructor of Midland Ki Federation, and Pietro Maida Sensei, 7th Dan, Chief Instructor of Northern California Ki Society, on Friday, June 26 to Sunday, June 28, 2009 at the University of Colorado in Boulder, CO.

You are invited to join us and experience Ki Society teachings by two outstanding Ki-Aikido instructors in the United States.

Schedule:
Friday, June 26: 6:30pm to 9:00pm
Saturday, June 27: 9:15am to 11:45am and 1:30pm to 4:00pm
Sunday, June 28: 9:15am to 11:45am 1:30pm to 4:00pm
